Presented below is a prototype 12" Stormtrooper in mock-up packaging.

The packaging doesn't seem to fit with any recent Hasbro announcements.

Could this be another bonus figure similar to the SW: Battlefront Scout Trooper or a sneak peek of the Episode III packaging?!

Here are some additional larger pics:

* 12" Stormtrooper Mock-Up: Top View

Thanks to powerjedi999 for the pics.

That package reminds me a lot of the Planet of the Apes 12 inch line that Hasbro put out a few years ago.

The basic Apes line were in rounded bubbles, but the 12" line was in a standard retangular box.

The cutout doesn't look like a Stormtrooper, so maybe the Trooper is just a placeholder.

look at the shape of the character on the front of the box! it is general grevious! could we be seeing prototype packaging for the 12" episode 3 figures?? I think so! doesnt explain why there is a stormi in there though, unless they use the same package for all figs. hasbro is cheap!

That's a great call. It has to be Grevious.

I knew what you were talking about. (Big suprise). I think these were mail-ins. There is a Gorilla soldier that I'm aware of. But this is the first time I've seen this one.

That one sucked compaired to the Arthur P. Jacobs version. But, if we want to go into compairison....

The Arthur P. Jacobs was crap compaired to the original novel by Pierre Boulle.

Well, anyway...

Back on topic...

I saw this on eBay about 5 muinets before I came here tonight. I was going to post it, but you beat me to it. As reported eairlyer, the EPIII pakaging has a Vader theme, I don't think this is a part of it. That is not what the trooper looks like in EPIII, that we know of, either, so I doubt even more that it is for EPIII, unless it is in fact just there for referance. Beats the **** out of me. But I can say this: the eBay seller who has it is from Hong Kong and has decent feedback.

good point. it is almost surely grievious. but it would make no sense to have grevious on the package of ep3 merchandise. he's not the main theme, sincevader/anakin is the main theme of the movie! i bet it could be the sneak peek packaging. like the four green cards before ep 2.

Could it be a idea for another line, like Gijoe or whatever, I also reminds me of sleak plastic packaging for the animated clone wars.

dream police come to arrest me.
