He needs the helmet to survive, does he not? Its pretty near non-existent here. How can he breathe?
And here's a worse thought : would he not have the whiny Anakin voice again, now that his mouth is exposed?
Imagine Vader in the black armour with that Hayden voice. |

I think he would be able to survive for a short while without his lid, a la ESB in the hermetic meditation chamber. For short periods, anakin used the darkside to breathe without his helmet, as depicted in certain novels. I'm pretty certain that the figure we are getting is the one which would soon be floating in a tank of Bacta, soothing those nasty lookin grazes he got from whoever kicked his leather butt.

| Thanks sorry I didnt post anything with the pic as I'm sick at the moment and have felt horrible all day but got some meds in me now and feeling a little better. Its an early sample. I believe the 08 figs were gonna have the stands packaged at the bottom like this but Hasbro later decided to put them up on the card next to the figure (probably to take up some of the room in those huge bubbles). Like volker said this one's stand is blank and I've got a clone in training gear with a low stand that has "anakin skywalker" on the stand. Some of the first carded pics that were posted had the low stands now all the ones shown are packaged on the card. This shadow guard's also missing all the cheat code stuff and sticker from the front as well as not having the inner bubble cutouts to hold the cloak in place. |

| The weapon of choice does not seem to look very good for Maris. You'd think she might burn her elbows or accidently cut her hip with those things. Again I hate the pose. Apperently Hasbro loves it. I read in a Q&A they will continue to find some way to make these figures look as dumb as possible. |
