1.
POTF2.COM Is Hasbro going to go back to 100% heat-sealed packages next year?
There is a significant amount of fakes/fraud with the current packaging (figure swapping, etc). This hurts both kids and collectors, as well as Hasbro's brand identity.
HASBRO We're still looking at alternatives.
2.
POTF2.COM As a follow up, just so everyone is clear... does Hasbro EVER package an older figure in a newer sculpts package (such as POTF2 Garindan in the Saga Collection Garindan package)?
HASBRO Never, never, never. It's only one figure or in rare cases an alt deco of the same sculpt (like the upcoming Rebel Trooper).
3.
POTF2.COM For the manufacturing folks, what does the last digit on the datestamp stand for? Usually it is a 1, but somtimes it is a 2.
HASBRO The date codes usually go week-day-shift, so what your referring to is either first or second shift.
(Editor's note: Hasbro meant year not week as the first digit of the datestamp.)

Well, there's one mystery solved... the last number denotes which shift. There must not be many people on that 2nd shift!
And don't the datestamps usually read year-day-shift? (At least on the last couple of lines) |

I had a few good questions but none of them were used.

These ask Hasbro questions are a waste of time. Who exactly at Hasbro is answering these questions anyway?

And who here didn't know the answer to this? Come on this is beating a Dead Horse. We all know that Hasbro does not put an old inferior product on a new card unless they are doing it in masses with a rehash. Who here didn't know that the Garindan in question was a re-seal being hacked by some eBay scammer? What a waste of a question.

Plo... of course, everyone knew the answer, but eBay sellers still claim that Hasbro does this.
The point of the question was to now have direct proof to show sellers when they try and justify themselves, and to notify Hasbro of this growing problem.

That is a good idea, but in the case of the Garindan figure I don't think that guy would have even cared if the head of Hasbro himself told him that the figure was a fake.
Sellers like that are going to sell their junk no matter what.

The second shift must not do a lot of cards, or something.
Maybe they primarily do something else, coz it seems so lop-sided that one shift would have so many cards printed and the other would not. Its neat to know what that number means though.
